The annual FCN Shamrock Festival & Oyster Roast was a rousing success, thanks to hardworking volunteers, great weather, dedicated board members, and you, our faithful members. Almost two hundred attendees enjoyed delicious food, festive cake walks, soothing music, and exciting auction items worth bidding on. “We returned this year not only to the state park but to the type of event we had been accustomed to”, stated FCN Board Chair Billy Wooten. “There was an excitement around the event which adds to the positive feelings; we grossed almost $10,000 but having a great event is really the best bottom line.”

Groups and notables participating in the festivities were Savannah PRIDE, the Georgia AIDS Coalition’s Susan Saylor, everyone’s fave, Tricksie Turner, Savannah’s best organizer Scott West, and the famous “hot dog divas”, who returned after an absence of several years.
