A WEE BIT O’ BLARNEY was a great time that was had by all!

Stoney and Charles surpassed themselves in their hospitality for all FCN members and guests, Saturday evening March 16! Highlights of the evening were the presentation of a $500 check from FCN chair Gerry Nelms to the new director of The First City Pride Center, Michael Bell for for their relocation fund. Both Michael and Jessica, also from the pride center board, outlined plans for the center moving forward. We wish them the best of luck in their future plans!

Also Introducted was Austin Hill, who is currently runnng for Chatham County commissioner, District 1. He also outlined his platform and goals for improving infrastructure for the county.

Finally a game of Irish trivia, based on teams as determined by the color coin you drew from the baket at the sign in table took place. Our own Leprechaun Matthew (as he took a break from serving green beer!) read the trivia questions for each team group. After an elimination round a final question was asked within the winning Green team. Ater calling out the answer to “What strange thing are you supposed to do to the Blarney Stone” the winner was named!

It was all great fun- and even a little educational!

PirAtes Booty Treasure Hunt!

Avast Mateys! I’m Capn’ Lucky Luzerne and this year marks 300 years since a British frigate chased me and my crew up the Savannah River where we ran aground. I was lucky enough to get to shore and hide my chest of pirate loot before they captured me and hung me from the yard arm- of my own pirate ship. (Arghh!! Maybe i aint so lucky after all!) I’m now a ghastly wraith haunting the area of Colonial Cemetary in search of the treasure map I hastily drew up marking where I buried that pirate booty three centuries ago. But argh! I need your help to help me locate the map and then share in the riches of my cache of Pirate Booty. Specifics coming March 15!
